Update on my Kid's CD project.
I took the project to the CD manufacturer & was less than impressed with their willingness (or unwillingness) to "be creative" on a budget.  (There's a lot more to the story, but suffice to say, the cover will likely be designed by a local graphics firm in Walker, MN)

If that wasn't enough, I took the master tracks to my friend & producer, Scott Malchow, who will be mastering the project.  After listening to the tracks, he sent me back home with a ton of information & directions to re-mix the whole thing.  Ouch!  Actually, I couldn't pay a friend like that enough money for his honesty.  This, to me, is a true friend.  Scott is always looking out for my best interests and not only wants me to do my best, but expects it as well.  I love people like that.

So, after talking the matter over with my "executive producer" (photo left), and Paul's Executive Producermy wife, Linda, we decided to put the project out later in 2008 - like October or November, in time for Christmas.  Having a "back-to-school" release date was a poor idea because, as they stated, as a kid's CD, the PR would get lost in all the back-to-school excitement.  Now I'm in the studio, going over the tracks.  I explained it to my musician friends (the few that I have)  as being similar to visiting a shrink.  You know what the problems are and how to correct them, you just need someone else with more experience to tell you what the problems are and how to correct them.
A huge amount of THANKS goes out to my longtime buddy, Scott.  I'll keep you updated as to how the project goes.

I am frantically trying to finish my "past deadline" Kid's CD.  It will hopefully be out by the end of August, just in time for a big Back-to-School Bash.  (Bring your own Oreos)

I've been working on this project for almost two years now.  The title Emily, Libby & Beritof the CD will most likely be "Don't Lick A Flagpole When It's Cold," and features a number of incredible musicians, as well as three delightfully fun 4th & 5th grade girls with Attitude.  We had a blast putting down the tracks together.

Anyway, I'll give you more information as I am able.  The CD will likely have 12 cuts with full-band production.  Baby Paul  Great, fun (and funny) music for the whole family.

Stay Tuned!
